Error when play video at brighteon.com

Description

Can not play video at brighteon.com with default settings. I got this error:

An unanticipated problem was encountered, check back soon and try again
Error Code: MEDIA_ERR_UNKNOWN
Session ID: 2018-12-27:27c824ca5e92877bd686a35e Player Element ID:player

I have to turn off shields then it can play without problem. The video is hosted at Brightcove.com. Please help to look into this issue.

  1. Open Brave
  2. Visit https://www.brighteon.com/
  3. Click any video then the error shows.

What version of Brave are you using?

Version 0.58.18 Chromium: 71.0.3578.98 (Official Build) (64-bit)

This is because the player is blocked by CORS policy. The issue regarding CORS is tracked here brave/brave-browser#1581. Please use the new brave-browser repo to log issue regarding the current stable release
