All Entities stopped reporting since Friday

All entities are currently showing "Unavailable".
Since roughly this Tuesday the current power production entitiy has been spotty. Often appears unavailable for a while then comes back. Then of Friday it showed unavailable and now every entitiy is unavailable.

On the Enlighten webpage and app everything is reporting correctly.

I have updated HA to latest version. The DEV integration is up to date. I have tried reloading the integration many times. Nothing works.

Thanks.

Hi @asinla, that's not nice indeed.

  • Obvious first question would be if you can relate 'roughly this Tuesday' to any event like updates, restarts or alike. I Understand that may not be easy.

  • Second first though it may be some timing. If you have v0.0.14 or newer of this integration you can change timeout lengths to set these more relaxed. In the Envoy configuration screen click the configure button.

In the configuration screen you can increase the timeout for getting single Envoy data page. When changing make sure the Overall timeout on getting Envoy data pages is larger the the individual timeout. When done reload the envoy from the 3 vertical dot menu.

  • To analyze what is going on:

    • use the enable debug logging option for the envoy. Let it run for couple of minute while making sure some failure moments are captured. Then disable the debug logging again and the log file will download to your computer.
    • In the 3 vertical dot menu use the download diagnostics option to download diagnostic information to your computer.
    • In these files you can find information on what is going on. Feel free to upload them here after renaming to text files and removing or hidden anything you don't want to share.

@asinla, did you get this resolved?

I have almost the same problem only my inverters are showing 0w... plz help the rest is gone. I happent after an update. I tride to go back to the previous version but i dont know how

What update triggered this? Can you enable debug log and/or diagnostic download as described above?

@Mariushome, to go back to previous version of the integration, see below.

If your inverters show 0 it suggests there is some communication with the Envoy, or I'd expect they would show unavailable too. So before downgrading inspect the HA log file (config/home-assistant.log) or use the debug enable/disable to download the log file to your computer.

To re-install any version, open HACS and go to the Integrations page in HACS. In there click the Enphase Envoy (Dev) Integration. That will open the readme of the Enphase Envoy. IN the right hand top click the 3 vertical dot menu button and select redownload from the menu.

Use the pulldown of select version to pick a version to download. After download restart Home Assistant.

I’ve noticed this recently too. How recently, I can’t remember if it was before I updated or after, but I did roll back to 0.0.17, but it didn’t take hold after the reset, (still showed 0.0.19) and they still showed unavailable. Now I did notice from the logs it comes up every so often, but goes down. It’s up time is about 5min and the down looked like an average of 17min. I’ll post the debug logs if needed, but you mentioned changing the intervals. Based on the times I gave you, what would you suggest?

edit: I think I found A solution. Give me a day and I’ll report back.

edit 2: My idea only temporarily worked. Once I started working in HA adding new integrations and devices (and creating a new dashboard), it broke again.

What temporarily worked was going into Settings, Devices & services, Enphase Envoy (DEV), clicked on the 3 dots, and clicked delete. Then I restarted HA and on reboot it discovered it again. I entered the setup information and at first the initialization failed. All I did was go to the 3 dots again and click reload. And voila, started working. Again temporarily. It is either coincidence or not that once I started doing stuff in HA that it rebroke. For a few hours it was working fine after remove/readd.

As you can see, from 5:26 to 7:21 it was up steadily. Then after got wonky. I did do a few restarts to see if it would hold and it did in that two hours.

#178 reports same, closing this one
