Connectivity issues since a few days

Soann84 opened this issue · 2 comments

Hello,
I've integrated Envoy Lifetime Net Energy Consumption, Envoy Lifetime Net Energy Production and Passerelle Envoy (xxx) Today's Energy Production into my energy dashboard since more than one year.

Since a few days, I have "holes" in the data retrieved. The sensors have no data for a few hours, and my graphs display nothing for those hours, then put everything in the time bar when connectivity is restored.

These connectivity problems started less than a month ago, and are becoming more and more frequent. Yesterday, for example, I had a blackout from 2pm to 10pm. Last week I even had an almost complete day without data.

Nothing has changed in my configuration. I have 19 IQ7A panels with a microinverter and an Envoy-S-Metered-EU gateway connected via ethernet.

Do you know where it might come from?
Thank you.

Hi @Soann84, based on other reports there maybe some things to try.

  • Restart the Envoy (power down/up). That worked in some cases.
  • It has also been reported when in addition to Home Assistant there was some other application/device collecting data from the Envoy. All was working fine and suddenly issues started happening. Stopping the other application resolved it and even the other application could be used again.
  • In some cases changing time-out and retry settings improved the situation, but there limits to that.
  • Switching from Wifi to Ethernet cable solved some intermittent problems.
  • #166 reported a database corruption fixed by Enphase, but in that case all communication stopped completely.

Anything in the log file? To monitor the communication you can enable debug for some time to see if that reveals any pattern.

Thank you @catsmanac
After a reboot of the Envoy, everything seems normal now.
Have a good day.
