Disable "Update Available" pop up

Is there a way by installation command or reg setting or other to disable "Update Available" pop up, e.g. configure "Don't show this message again" by command and not being forced to tick it manually?

The auto-update mechanism was removed in version 3.1.0. Why don’t you install the latest version instead?

But yes, there’s a config file somewhere you could edit to prevent it.
