these instructions are simply too complicated, then it stops abruptly

These instructions are all too complicated to follow, it seems to be installing many different things in many different ways all mixed up and it’s difficult to tell which bits I’m supposed to be reading and which I’m supposed to skip over or ignore because it doesn’t apply to me
Most of the instructions didn’t work until I eventually found that some of the instructions should be preceded with ’sudo’ after which they did, but this isn’t specified, so now I’m following instructions from several different places which tell me to do things differently – anyway, inserting ’sudo‘ in places that doesn’t tell me to seems to allow me to proceed
…until I got to this bit:
“If everything works as expected, you have to configure hkcam as a daemon – so that hkcam is automatically run after boot. This can be done in different way – systemd is recommended,”
none of that is explained adequately, I can’t follow those instructions, and it ends on a comma which suggests it isn’t even complete or finished, so what am I supposed to do there at this point? at the moment it only works when I go through the instructions again up to that point, then after a while it stops
