Pset_SolidStratumCapacity.LoadBearingCapacityArea replaced with LoadBearingCapacity??

LoadBearingCapacity has datatype IfcPlanarForceMeasure and has description "Maximum load bearing capacity of the floor structure throughtout the storey as designed."
The original property LoadBearingCapacityArea had the datatype IfcPressureMeasure and description "Estimate or design maximum load bearing capacity of the defined surface/structure (e.g. soil stratum or planar slab). Represented as a force per unit area measurement." which to me seems to fit better.
A mistake when unifying properties maybe??
Where did you find 'LoadBearingCapacityArea'?
I can't find it in any IFC version.

I found it when I did the reconciliation between the IFC Tunnel psdxml:s and the psdxml:s from IFC 4.3.2. I diff:ed the psdxml:s as a basis for reconciliation. My conclusion is that it was in an IFC 4.3 RCx but got lost during property unification in 4.3.2. The original description fits better in the context of a solid stratum. I'm no geotech expert so I have no opinion regarding the datatype.
when it is in the PSDs of the Tunnel project I assume it is a suggestion from the tunnel project to add LoadBearingCapacityArea to IFC.
There is no history of LoadBearingCapacityArea in IFC.

No, there was no such suggestion from IFC Tunnel. Pset_SolidStratumCapacity. LoadBearingCapacityArea came from the P&W infra project (Nick Nisbet) as did IfcSolidStratum. I am sure. If you read the definitions, the replaced definition makes sense and the new one doesn't.
There is no such property in IFC 4.3.2.0: https://ifc43-docs.standards.buildingsmart.org/IFC/RELEASE/IFC4x3/HTML/annex-b4.html
And there does not seem to be such a property in the versions before 4.3.2.0.
I don't know what else to say.
Well, I am not lying to you. As you know, the baseline of IFC Tunnel came from the Infra-/Rail projects at the time (hence the need for reconciling with 4.3.2). This property originates from 4.3.something (the baseline at the time). And furthermore, the 4.3.2 definition "Maximum load bearing capacity of the floor structure throughtout the storey as designed" doesn't make any sense for a property concerning a terrain stratum while the definition of the replaced property does (see 1st comment).
Let's do this one step at a time.
IFC 4.3.2 has a property 'LoadBearingCapacity': https://ifc43-docs.standards.buildingsmart.org/IFC/RELEASE/IFC4x3/HTML/property/LoadBearingCapacity.htm
Remember this is the official documentation and ISO standard.
Let's focus on that.
Do you want to change that description or it's datatype?
I believe that LoadBearingCapacityArea should be a separate property, used in this Pset with the original definition and datatype, pressure and not force (and not merged with LoadBearingCapacity). However, best to check with Nick or Alex first (the P&W project) , since this originated from them and not IFC Tunnel.
