Filter option not presenting input criteria textbox in v2.28

Recently upgraded to buttercup-desktop via AUR (buttercup-desktop-bin & electron22-bin) and noticed that the filter function no longer works correctly.

Typically when clicking the funnel, and then selecting the spy-glass/filter option a text box would be presented to enter the filter criteria.

In v2.28, no textbox is displayed to enter the filter details, instead the corresponding section label (Groups and Documents) and count simply disappear... and if you repeat the clicks/selections the section label and counts re-appear... like a toggle.

As a troubleshooting step, I downloaded the appimage to see if it functioned correctly, but found that the same behaviour occurred as with the AUR package.

Ctl-F is providing me a way to find the entries I need.

Thanks for the report. 2.28 introduced the bundled UI (used to be external), so it’s likely something regressed in that process. The filter functionality has been put through consideration to remove entirely, however, as its use is questionable in most vaults. The find functionality perhaps being a better solution to finding entries. We might just remove it entirely..

Thank you for the explanation/reply... I'll keep using the ctl-F search as filter sunsets
