Figure out components required

I need to determine the physical electronic and chassis components required to do the following:

• obstacle avoidance
• basic autonomous navigation
• record temperature data
• transmit data back to a receiver
• climb various terrain. (probably first design it for usage in the desert where I live. Too complicated to make it work for wooded environments.)
