Error connecting to the domain, are you sure LDAP service is running on the target
This is more of note to self then an bug. If other people in the future encounter this issue, Crackmapexec tries to connect to the target LDAP service using the FQDN of the target.
ldap://DC01.example.com The name is resolved from the SMB Challenge. If your host that is running crackmapexec does not/can not resolve the hostname, it will give this error.
Manaully fix this by adding the host to the /etc/hosts file or adding the domain DNS server to your DNS settings.
There might be an intention for this (Kerberose auth or LDAPS cert things) so I don't think this is a really a bug.
