We received an update request from DCC, by way of counties requesting to update their data.
- We received updates from six additional jurisdictions that we need to change on our website:
Calaveras County - allows testing (currently listed as prohibited)
Mammoth Lakes - allows retail non-storefront (currently listed as prohibited), manufacturing should be listed as “limited” instead of “allowed”
Madera - allows everything (currently listed a prohibiting everything)
Rio Dell - allows retail non-storefront (currently listed as prohibited)
Merced - retail storefront should be listed as “limited” instead of “allowed”
Redding - retail storefront and retail non-storefront should be listed as “limited” instead of “allowed”
I attached the latest version of our tracker for reference.
- Our new summary stats (three boxes on top) are as follows:
44%
of cities and counties allow at least one type of cannabis business
(235 out of 539)
56%
of cities and counties do not allow any type of cannabis business
(304 out of 539)
62%
of cities and counties do not allow any retail cannabis business
(334 out of 539)
- In addition, the ratio of retail licenses per 100k people in California has increased.
Due to these limits, there are less than4.34.5 retail licenses per 100K people in California (as of May July 2022).
