Display sync status in UI?

Is it possible to display the status to the user in UI such as "Syncing please wait" or "Last synced at (time)"?

I'm looking for something similar, but instead I want to let the user know that there are local updates not synced/pushed to iCloud for whatever reason (device is offline, etc).
