Hi,
will it be possible to extend functionality of that plugin to be platform independent?
As I see right now Microsoft released SqlPackage also for Linux and MacOS

It would super helpful for that plugin if Microsoft would also release that as native nugets
What is your opinion?

I created unofficial packages for SqlPackage for win, osx and linux (AdaskoTheBeAsT.SqlPackage.native).
I can wok on that.
