As a contributor to the Cal-ITP warehouse, I want the end-to-end workflow for updating the schema of existing data to be documented so that others in the ecosystem can maintain a data source after my engagement has ended.
This specific request came via @kengie who wants to ensure that the protocol for updating the data added in #3129 is clear to future maintainers of that data; the request overlaps with documentation work I am currently doing for NTD data per a conversation with @evansiroky and @tiffanychu90.
Acceptance criteria:
Documentation saved in a central location (probably docs.calitp.org) for:
- How to update an external table
- How to update staging & downstream tables
