The mobile UV viewer is missing some features that are available on desktop:

  • No reservation timer
  • No end loan button
  • No contents panel
  • Non-functional bookmark button - see screenshot (not present in desktop)

Actually, I get the bookmark symbol on the desktop version too. I couldn't figure out what it was supposed to do, so I left it, in case the problem was that I didn't understand how to use the bookmarking feature.

We can take this out pretty easily in the config.

same issue for me with Brave Browser on Android

Here's where this stands, with the latest changes:

  1. The end-loan button is now visible on mobile devices
  2. The timer info is deliberately not shown on small screens because there's no place to put it. That seems reasonable to do on such a small screen – @tmorrell how do you feel about that?
  3. The lack of a contents panel is a UV behavior. We could change that. I'm not sure if it pays to do that on a small screen, though. @tmorrell if you feel we should, can you open a different ticket specifically for that?
  4. I removed the bookmark button completely.

These changes look great to me. I don’t think there is a pressing need for the timer or contents panel.
