DSC_estimated_error_rates

Hi,
For most of our samples, DSC_estimated_error_rates are in the 1-4 e-10 range.
But a few DNA samples with more damage are ~10-fold higher: 1-2 e-9.
This is almost exclusively for C>A and C>T mutations.
What is an acceptable range for DSC estimated error rates?
Does 10-fold higher DSC_estimated_error_rate matter when it is still only 1-2e-9, which is ~100-fold lower than true signal that is in the e-7 range?
Also, just confirming this is correct, describing the difference between the two QC files?
DSC_errors_per_channel.pdf => estimate of total number of false positives across the genome for each context
DSC_estimated_error_rates.pdf => estimate of false positive / basepair of genome for each context
Thanks.
