OCI will attempt to use Ubuntu images which aren't compatible with our default shape

It appears we have two types of image in Oracle: "Gen2-GPU" images and (what I infer are) Gen 1 images:
Canonical-Ubuntu-16.04-Gen2-GPU-2021.02.16-0
Canonical-Ubuntu-16.04-2021.02.12-0
Canonical-Ubuntu-16.04-2021.01.25-0
Canonical-Ubuntu-16.04-Gen2-GPU-2021.01.26-0
Canonical-Ubuntu-16.04-2020.12.10-0
Canonical-Ubuntu-16.04-Gen2-GPU-2020.12.18-0
The Gen2 images do not work with the instance shape we use by default.
We either need to filter out the Gen2 images so we use only Gen1 images, or we need to update our default shape.

I've reached out to the Ubuntu Cloud Image team to help me understand the difference between these two images.
