Autohide hiding at the wrong time.

Opened this issue · 0 comments

Hello.

Let me first start off by saying that I don't know if this is a bug in MultiCore System Monitor, or Cinnamon itself.

That said, I like to autohide my panel. However, when I hover my mouse over the applet, the panel (and the screentip, which displays CPU usages, RAM consumption, network speeds, etc.) disappears before I'm really able to read the screentip. This only started happening on my Arch machine a few months ago. I though that maybe there was some problem on my end, until I upgraded Ubuntu on a separate machine from 16.04 to 18.04.

The best workaround I've been able to find is to set the panel to "Intelligently hide panel", in which the panel hides itself ONLY if there the active window is overlapping the panel. However, this workaround is a bit annoying, since newly-created windows could appear in such a position so as to overlap the panel.
