Why does server time need to be configured in UTC?

Couldn't the module just read the PHP timezone and work backwards? If you know the timezone and you know the current time, it's no problem getting the current time in UTC.

Hey Dennis,

the processing in our API is based on UTC. That's probably the reason for why it got realized that way.
We are aware of that dealing with UTC Timezone is necessary to get reviewed - you're the 2nd customer bumping this up. I mean anything to display should not happen in UTC, just the internal processing. But there, timestamps could probably be converted to UTC if necessary.

We have this already on our task list, but to be honest - something to come in future. We have other priorities set right now and can't therefore provide an ETA.

Sorry that I can't provide better news regarding this matter.

I am leaving this issue open to let you and others know when we've reviewed this.

Thanks, @Papakai
I'm looking forward to hearing good news about this ;-)
