Foundation Buddy — Apple Intelligence Assistant

Foundation Buddy is a SwiftUI app for iOS 26+ that uses Apple’s Foundation Models Framework to run AI fully on-device, with Liquid Glass UI and streaming or structured response modes. This project serves as a practical example of how Foundation Models can be explored and integrated into native Apple apps.

Requirements

MacOS Tahoe Beta or newer
Xcode 26.0 beta or newer
iOS 26.0 Beta simulator
Device with Apple Intelligence enabled

Getting Started

Clone the repository
Open FoundationBuddy.xcodeproj in Xcode
Ensure you have a device with Apple Intelligence enabled, Check in System Preferences
Build and run the project on simulator
Start chat with the Apple Intelligence assistant
Explore the different AI capabilities through the settings buttons
