Not easy, but ultimately it should be possible for the user to edit the test cases, and for those edits not to be lost when re-generating the test cases. Maybe we could define some blocks within each testcase, separated by comments, that the user can edit?
Either way it would be a big change, since we would move away from re-generating the entire files to only updating specific locations.
