Use gh-pages for tarball?

Since github is deprecating uploads (and removing it in a month or two), we need to host the tarball elsewhere. I suggest uploading to gh-pages.

(note: the reason for using own tarballs is that the zip requires bootstrap to be run, which is extremely uncompelling as an end-user)
