Ctrl-W in OS X text boxes

Unclear is this can be fixed, but I really dislike that OS X text boxes respect most Emacs readline keys, but not C-w. Doesn't seem to be bound to anything, just doesn't work.

Unrelated but related: Karabiner is great! I use it for mapping CapsLock to
Esc on tap and Ctrl in combo:
