There's an option to pass in srcset sizes, but the way it works is pretty weird. I'm also pretty sure that the current implementation is broken.
I think we'd be better off porting this over to use the newer responsive image functionality in core, but I'm not super familiar with it. I'm going to do a quick pass at getting it working and then we can see what needs to be adjusted/changed.
