๐ Bug Report
I previously had CSET 10.3 installed on my W10 Pro PC and had one assessment started
I just installed CSET v11 standalone and once it opened I was unable to click on any buttons with the exception of the export control for the one existing assessment that I had. This lead me to a blank screen in the CSET tool.
When I attempted to open the existing assessment by clicking on it nothing happened
When I attempted to export the existing assessment to took me to a blank page
When I attempted to delete the existing assessment, after confirmation the following error appeared:
I was also unable to start a new assessment, when I clicked on the button nothing happened
I tried to import an assessment exported from 10.3.0.0 and received the following error:
All controls under the "Tools" appear to work:
And the resource library appears to work:
I also uninstalled and reinstalled to product, removed the old 10.3.0.0 version and uninstalled/reinstalled. Multiple restarts between the uninstalls/re-installs not luck in making the program function.
To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
Opened the program on my computer, tired to click on "new assessment" or link for existing assessment
Expected behavior
I expected the program to work and let me create new assessments or open an existing assessment
Any helpful log output
Don't know where the logs are located in install directory "C:\Program Files\DHS\CSET 11.0.0.0"
Paste the results here:
Would it be possible to post any log file output you have? These are located in the following directory: C:\Users$YOURUSERNAME$\AppData\Local\DHS\CSET. Also, if you click on the "View" tab at the top of the CSET window and select "Toggle Developer Tools." Then post a screenshot of the console output. That would be helpful in debugging your issue.
Any word?
Sorry I have not been able to respond, COVID Staff shortages etc........
Here is the screen shot:
Here are the logs in path: C:\Users%username%\AppData\Local\DHS\CSET
cset.log
cset11000.log
cset11000electron.log
I just re-opened the program and experienced that same issues, so that should show in the logs I just uploaded.
Thank You
@computersg It looks like there was an error in upgrading your old CSET database. The easiest approach to solve this would likely be to export any assessments you don't want to lose, then delete the all the version folders under C:\Users%username%\AppData\Local\DHS\CSET. This would wipe your corrupted database (for CSET 11.0.0.0) as well as your old databases from older versions. This would allow for the application to set you up with a fresh new database on the next startup run and prevent the application from attempting to perform a database upgrade. You could then import your assessments from there.
