Rename tool and/or repo?

The naming schema of CFF org repos was something that I thought up ages ago, and I'm not sure if this is still a good idea.

Perhaps we could think about:

  • Renaming this repository to cffconvert (out of scope, but perhaps also rename the cffinit repo)? Existing links would still work (as long as GitHub doesn't kill this kind of forwarding).
  • Renaming the tool itself? Perhaps even cff. Validation to my mind is as string a use as conversion. We'd need to think about what other changes this would ensue (e.g., GH Action, documentation, etc.).

Curious what you think.

have to think more about consequences, but in principle I would support changing the repo name for cffconvert and cffinit. I want to keep the cffconvert and cffinit names for the tools though.

Repo forwarding will work as long as we don't make a new repo by the same name.

Okay, thanks. Let me know if you want to discuss this further at some point.

Changed the repo name to cffconvert, let's see ๐ŸŒ ๐Ÿ”ฅ
