Navigating official docs page

Closed this issue · 3 comments

This page will serve as an explainer for residents on why we made certain choices regarding official documents and give context to the way content is organized.

Create an information page that covers the following:

  • Information on search and navigating each document collection

  • Descriptions for each document type

  • Descriptions of events that warrant their own document collection (ex. 2020 protests, OIS, etc.)

  • Draft content for page

  • send to Rigdon for review

  • Rigdon reviews

  • move to Teams and send to @sarafperalta to get OK from Mia

  • Translate to Spanish

  • Publish on Joplin in EN and ES

Part 2 of this is a short video tutorial on how to navigate official docs

  • Draft script or rough outline for video
  • Get edits/sign off from OPO
  • translation
  • record screen session

More to come.

Inara to finish draft by Wed-Thurs and pass to @srigdon

@srigdon- here's the link to a draft for the copy

Once you look it over, I will put it on teams for Peralta and Mia.

I am currently working on a script draft for the video.

The page is currently up on alpha: https://alpha.austin.gov/police-oversight/how-to-use-official-documents/

We are waiting for ATXN to upload the ES and EN videos so that we can embed the videos onto the page
