This plugin could be much improved by using the latest official sharing widget: https://share.diasporafoundation.org/about.html
On my site, I replaced your plugin with the new one - you find the button at the end of this post:

In what way, specifically, could this plugin be "much improved"? Is there a problem with current code, that needs to be solved? Is there any missing functionality that the "latest official sharing widget" would bring?
I mean, of course, any idea, any code and any PR are welcome, but they should come with some explanation.
