Support pluggable backends

Opened this issue · 5 comments

It'd be nice if Setler followed a pattern like https://github.com/svenfuchs/i18n so we could use something better/faster/stronger like TokyoCabinet or Redis (optionally) to store settings instead of storing them directly in ActiveRecord in a relational DB

I would like to use setler, but the application I am working uses Mongoid/MongoDB.
@ckdake is making the backend plugable still something that you are interesting in including?

Definitely! I don't have the need/time to build it, but PRs are welcome. It'd be a big change.

Cool. I will have a look at the code, and see what I can come up with.

any update with this issue?

Nope, no updates here. A PR is still welcome!
