The same behaviour applies to popups; and it gets annoying after a while

nevermind, what was causing the lag was that i was using the blur me and the blur my shell extensions at the same time; in order to have different blur sigma and for the panel and the overview. Using just blur me removed this lag while opening popups.
Having the ability to choose a different blur sigma for each type of element of the ui that gets blurred would be nice, tho.
