Sky and distance fog fails to render behind stained/tinted glass

Tested with Iris 1.3.1 on Minecraft 1.19.2. I suspect it is caused by any translucent block in general, but stained glass is the most accessible. It may not be noticeable at night since the bug causes the sky to turn black, and one would expect the sky to be dark at night anyhow.
