mysql-summary doesn't find my.cnf file

The following 'ps' file doesn't have --port in it so it isn't found.

mysql     3271     1 33 Jan17 ?        2-14:46:30 /usr/sbin/mysqld 
--defaults-file=/var/lib/mysql/my.cnf --basedir=/usr 
--datadir=/var/lib/mysql/data/ --pid-file=/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.pid 
--socket=/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock
