The last item of the FAQ addresses it, but why introduce more license confusion into the marketplace?

Thanks for your interest in the project--we don't think this license will introduce that much more confusion into an already-confused marketplace, given that the OSI definition of "open source" was already contentious...from our perspective, if the idea that software developers should exclude planet-threatening applications of their work is contentious, then that confusion is warranted.

I'm not sure there's any confusion here? the license isn't claiming to be an open-source license.
