Consider the following frame:

(frame :content 
  (vertical-panel :items [
    (label :text "OK?" :halign :left) 
    (horizontal-panel :items [
      (button :text "Cancel") 
      (button :text "OK")])]))

This centers the "OK?" label, ignoring the :halign :left option.
