Files are being written inside dist/

The data/reports/... files are showing up inside of the new dist/ directory. I'm sure there's a relative path somewhere that's pointing to the wrong place now that the code is running from a different directory. The feels like something we should probably write a test for because it will likely probably act like an end-to-end test.
