[Bug] Leaving a channel does not end well

Describe the bug
When a user leave a channel, channel messages keep being displayed on screen and channel does not disappear from joined channels
On the other side, the other users see a broken avatar image because of the user info not being available in the channel anymore:
Steps to reproduce
go to chat | join a chat | write messages | leave chat
Expected behavior
On leaving should be redirected to first chat in the channel list or to the chat fallback page
