The Appearance provide a lot feature already. If we can have the option to add some white space right below the player. would be great.

ALTERNATIVES:

hide everything right below the player.( currently, the Hide doesn't work, maybe I didn't get it right.)

RELEVANCE / SCOPE:

Not sure. I I cloud, I would use that white space to place subtitle. Would that be nice for not block any image/content/ and have subtitle right below the player.

@mobilelifeful welcome :)

  1. is the (new☺) title all?
or 2. do you want the space always? Like a theater mode?

Do you also tend to open the transcript on the right side?

If possible, would like the transcript right below the player ( where the white space I attempt to add)

usually just hit the cc button. it will show up.

Yes. Just curious. 'good for learning'?

What about multiple (2,3,4,5) lines of captions fading in, like karaokee?

I use Youtube for lectures where professors have place content all over. Using CC to confirm what they say. but CC blocks contents
I was not thinking multiple (2,3,4,5) lines since 2 line of default CC help. Would like to try more line if possible.

Karaokee seem fun and good for people who like sing. Maybe ImprovedTube-for-YouTube can help their singing skill tool.

"fade-in/-out" / "Karaokee"

Previous line (size 50% transparency 50%)
Current line
Next line size 80% transparency 20%

just learn that CC and transcript are two different things.

Something like this with the option to enlarge the transcript would be perfect,

This result is achieved when the transcript is on and set the browser smaller size

Yes can be below the player with the first line just 1px blow and no headline (~ "top:-100px")

  1. Marked text centered above the video would be another a good option. In case of boring videos, or for karaokee, fullscreen, etc.
