Wildlife Data Collection App

What is the idea
Allow field biologist to enter data as they collect it in a mobile interface, store said data locally on the device, & export it to to .pdf forms required for government / scientific data submission.
Why
Currently, the process for doing this involves carrying a lot of notebooks around & filling out forms on returning to a field office. Having a dedicated mobile application would ease the process for many & provide valuable time-savings.
Partner?
Rosemary Schiano, field biologist
Additional Background Context
Ideally will have a working iOS application for product feedback & iteration by the end of the year.

I personally don't know the proposed partner. I love the idea though.
It looks like @sashei had started a version of the project, but didn't get very far on the implementation.
Thanks Will.
@sashei I reached out to Rosemary (only because I found her website and contact form!) and she mentioned an interest still. We have a team - actually from Women Who Code as a partnership - who I believe are interested if you wanted to come back and co-lead this, or help out in any way. :)
hi all @wdoug @anotherpatrickcollins ! I have just been pointed to this thread, apologies for the long delay!!
Here is the project status:
As may be obvious from the repo y'all found, I am not actively maintaining or working on the codebase at this time. I started out relatively ambitiously (it's a cool problem!), particularly to make the app portable for other projects beyond Rosemary Schiano's Sonoran Desert Project. I get the impression this is a rather large problem in the wildlife biology community given how complex their datasets are, and there could be interest beyond SDP.
I would be happy to help shepherd this project into a new life if folks are interested. However, I can't spend a lot of time writing the code myself alongside my current work.
