What is the idea
An open source 3D printing request management system for library/school/community makerspaces
Why
Denver Public Library's ideaLAB has explored a variety of existing software products and found that none of them really fit their needs. Public/community makerspaces have different needs than industrial 3D printers, which most of the existing software is tailored to. Their current system (involving Google Forms, Dropbox, and Cura) has multiple pain points, described here.
