When sitting in an empty room, the timer is not updating, it's stuck at 7.5 seconds.

This is arguably now the biggest bug to be found on the 2n website. @samtheprogram what's your timeline for being able to take a look into this? Should I step in and attempt either of the solutions you proposed in the code's comments?
