Autofocus interferes with scrolling

https://www.stackage.org has Hoogle search fields with autofocus enabled. This is annoying for a few reasons, but the worst one is: When you scroll down to a package on https://www.stackage.org/lts, click a package, and then navigate back, you lose your scroll position because the autofocus causes the page to scroll back to the top.

I don't think the value added by the autofocus is worth the trouble it adds.
