Improve performance of /package page
Opened this issue · 4 comments
The page that lists all packages: https://www.stackage.org/package with their latest versions and snapshots that version is in is extremely expensive and does not seem to be that useful. Considering that there are some performance issues lately with stackage.org (see #295) I suggested we disable this page.
However if anyone feels like such a page is indeed useful, please consider contributing some pagination functionality for that page in order to make it bearable.
I think this can be closed, right?
I guess Michael wants to keep this page for some reason, so I am closing this ticket.
Hmm still jolly slow
Sorry, I had wrongly interpreted the earlier activity to be fix for this.
Then I think we should better keep these open actually.
