Overlays not working with .NET 6.0.28 Update

With updates KB5035845 and KB5036450 installed on my WIN10 laptop the overlay feature in ASAP is no longer working.

The expected outcome would be the image overlay created by a segmentation algorithm showing on top of the ndpi-file.
