cp-kafka image version above 5.5.1 does not see custom plugin jar

Since the update of cp-kafka image from the version 5.5.1 to upper versions I have been facing the issue of Class could not be found from a custom jar that I copied to my custom image. Env CONNECT_PLUGIN_PATH is set as /usr/lib/plugins. My custom jar is placed in this directory and it worked before the update.
