Performance/keybinding issues since v0.0.75 release in JetBrains
Opened this issue · 5 comments
Since the 0.0.75 JetBrains release we've had a series of keybinding/lag issues for Windows/Linux users that we have yet to fully resolve.
First, thanks to the folks that have continued to bring this to our attention. We want to make sure we get the next release right, so we're going to take a pause, pin to 0.0.75, test more thoroughly, and ensure the 0.0.83 release is rock solid.
We have a ton of stability work planned for December to address issues like this across various OS/IDEs.
Thanks all for your patience here. I will make another announcement in this thread once we push 0.0.83 🙂
Hi folks, we've released 0.0.83
to pre-release/EAP. Going to wait til Monday for the main release based on feedback on how the new version is performing.
Please let me know if you encounter any similar keybinding/lag issues!
@Patrick-Erichsen hi, I posted an issue #3251 today about the problem of not being able to use the CTRL + J shortcut in JetBrains.
Im using the latest main branch now. Is the problem I mentioned in my issue fixed? Maybe I should switch to pre-release/EAP to try again? but...I can't find the pre-release branch, could you help post a link of it,If the problem I'm having hasn't been fixed yet and you're still working on fixing it, please let me know, I'm really stumped on this one right now.
@AfterStories thanks for taking the time to look into it—we don't have a pre-release branch any longer, so this should already be on main branch. Let's move follow up to the issue (as you've already done), since there's way more context about this specific problem now
Hello. Tested 0.0.83 on webstorm (#WS-243.22562.112) and rider (#RD-243.22562.171), macos.
Webstorm works fine, rider still has keybindings issues (cant delete/newline etc). Both use VSCode (macos) keymap without modifications
Just updated to 0.0.84 today and things are mostly stable but some keybindings are still problematic on Ubuntu. Specifically, if I do ctrl + shift + j to put the selected code into Continue, it opens a whole new chat session with the code instead of adding it to the existing session. I haven't noticed any other big problems yet though.
