I search internet for a difference list. What is updated what is not updated what are the difference?

V2 adds ISO layout compatiblity, a switch plate, and uses stacked acrylic for the foot rather than aluminum cones.

The mounting points for the acrylic guard on the top changed a bit as well with two additional mounting points for more rigidity.

If I buy a v1 kit can I jerryrig the switch plate from v2?

Yes, the plate would work with both versions.
