Feature idea: Quantification on the CV inputs for CV output.

Opened this issue · 1 comments

Quantization on the CV inputs, assignable to the CVB outputs. Practical use: say you have 4 outputs from a non-quantized voltage source, like the Make Noise Analog Memory. You could run all four of them into the CV inputs, then the CVB outputs would be quantized. The following is a ModularGrid patch to illustrate this idea (if you prefer a link to the patch, try clicking here).

Patch explanation:
The idea is that the Gate and CVA outputs are for intentionally programmed melodies. Each gate hits an ADSR JR, each CVA hits an oscillator. The gates hit the VCA's. Then the Make Noise Analog Memory Outputs hit the CV Inputs 1-4 and CVB's hit the other four remaining oscillators. The gates are set by the Rebel Tech Stochia (sp?), which is clock divided from the Fluxus. So those gates are mathematically determined but if the CVB outputs are quantized, then all eight voices are in tune. Or could be.

I figure that makes the Fluxus the complete Brain of a sequencing setup, as you could have eight (!) oscillators all in Key.

Additional idea by Tenkai:
yea, well what if CVb could be an output that adds CVa + CV in 1
i think that would make more sense
cause it would transpose with CVa
i guess it could be an option
