when changing to a pattern, a step is activated

when changing to a pattern, a step is activated on the same step that the pattern is on. So if you change to pattern 1, it will activate step 1 even if it wasn't active in the saved pattern.

changed the pattern select action to happen on the 'rise' of the button press instead of the fall. the rise was being triggered after the fall,
