Drop jQuery version?

This is more a question for our users. Do you use the jquery version of this script or the plain vanilla version? I confess I haven't used jQuery in years now so I rather wonder if I'm simply doubling up my work for no reason.

I use the jQuery version but it wouldn't be a big deal if it was dropped.

I use the jQuery version, I'm not sure how switching would affect things
