on arch linux it is failing to build,
Linux 5.0.11-arch1-1-ARCH
$ cmake --config Debug "-DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=Debug" ..

It looks like a very old way of doing things in test build file, there should be find_package(png REQUIRED) near the top.

In my Fedora 31, I solve the issue with these commands
sudo mkdir /usr/include/libpng
sudo ln -s /usr/include/libpng16/png.h /usr/include/libpng/png.h
since the CMAKE script looks for the png.h in libpng, and the folder libpng doesn't exist.
