Death Announce doesn't seem to be working

Up to 2 releases ago, the auto death announce worked fine. Now, even though I know it is set to automatically announce rare deaths, it is not working. I have no idea why. I do not have the rare announcer set to automatic, as I like to manually type /rare to not spam general. I also don't like to announce when the rares are almost dead.

Just an update, death announce works if you have auto announce on. It was working with the /rare manual announce command before.
